Good afternoon, Blue Wave. Today is Wednesday, February 18, 2026  BSU Black History Fact Hey Blue Wave here is your Black History fact from the Black Student Union. Black Surgeon Dr. Daniel Hale Williams was the first doctor, both black and white, to perform open heart surgery on a human in America. This was before the invention of penicillin, antibiotics, and X-rays.  BSU Spirit Week Hey Blue Wave! This week is BSU Spirit Week! Tomorrow Thursday February 19 is Sunday's Best Day! Wear your best church/Easter fit! Also, the Black History Month Performance will take place Friday February 20th from 6:30-8:00 in the PAC. We'll showcase stepping, strolling, and history through movement, so don't miss it! Congrats Baseball Congrats to Varsity Baseball for their 17-0 win over Eastside last night. Matt Knott pitched a one-hitter and hit an inside the park grand slam!  Congrats Tennis Congratulations to the girls’ and boys’ tennis teams on their wins against Lecanto yesterday! Congrats NOSB Team Congrats to the P.K. Yonge National Ocean Sciences Bowl team, consisting of Nigel Lampayan, Will Mercado, Seth Norcross, and William Pruden, who won 3rd place on Saturday at the Spoonbill Bowl at USF St. Petersburg! Literary Magazine Interested in being featured in the first edition of PK’s secondary Literary Magazine? Look for the blue flyers around campus and scan the QR code to submit a piece of original writing or visual artwork. Accepting submissions through spring break. We look forward to seeing the talent and individuality that the PK community has to share!  Spring Market Heads up PK! The Spring market is quickly approaching! At Spring Market, we’ll have some volunteer organizations to promote volunteer participation for rising high-schoolers!
