Black History Fact
Hey Blue Wave here is your black history fact from the Black Student Union. Colin Powell was the first black person to become the Chairman of the joint chief of staffs, and was the first black person to become Secretary of State for the United States, which is the highest ranking position in the Presidential cabinet. He was appointed in 2001 and served from 2001-2005.

Prom

MS Baseball
The middle school baseball teams are rolling along. Our Storm Surge teams are a combined 4–2 after the first two weeks of the season.
Last night, the Storm Surge Orange team defeated Westwood 4–1 behind a dominant pitching performance from Joshua and Garrett. This dynamic duo struck out a total of eight Westwood batters over four innings. Garrett also led the way at the plate with two hits and four RBIs to power the Storm Surge offense.
All three Storm Surge teams are back in action on Monday, March 2 at 7:10 p.m. at Diamond Sports Park. Come cheer on our teams and let’s keep this wave rolling!

Color Run Volunteers
Attention high schoolers - are you still in need of some community service hours? Remember, every grade has a minimum number of hours due at the end of each year. The PTO is hosting their annual color run on Saturday, April 4th. Check your canvas emails for a link to sign up to help!
Literary Magazine
Interested in being featured in the first edition of PK’s secondary Literary Magazine? Look for the blue flyers around campus and scan the QR code to submit a piece of original writing or visual artwork. Accepting submissions through spring break. We look forward to seeing the talent and individuality that the PK community has to share!
