Good afternoon, Blue Wave. Today is Thursday, February 19, 2026 Black History Fact Hey Blue Wave here is your Black History fact from the Black Student Union. Fritz Pollard became the first black head coach in the National Football League, when he became the head coach of the Akron Pros in 1921. Alongside Bobby Marshall he was also the first black football player in the NFL. He was able to make history while facing extreme racism.  BSU Spirit Week Hey Blue Wave! This week is BSU Spirit Week! Tomorrow Friday February 20 is Celebrity Dress-Up Day! Dress as your favorite celebrity or character! Also, the Black History Month Performance will take place tomorrow from 6:30-8:00 in the PAC. We'll showcase stepping, strolling, and history through movement, so don't miss it! Color Run Volunteer Hours Attention high schoolers - are you still in need of some community service hours? Remember, every grade has a minimum number of hours due at the end of each year.  The PTO is hosting their annual color run on Saturday, April 4th. Check your canvas emails for a link to sign up to help! SGA Town Hall Hey P.K. The answers to the Student Government Spring Town Hall meeting with the administration has concluded and we have the answers to your questions and concerns. Tennis Good luck to the girls' varsity tennis team as they face Newberry at home today at 3:30pm at Westside. And good luck to the boys as they play Buchholz at Jonesville today, as well!  Congrats MS Baseball Middle school baseball is off to a fantastic start after an exciting night at Diamond Sports Park, where two of our teams earned big wins. Storm Surge Orange opened the season with a thrilling 5–4 win over Oak View. Garrett led the way with two RBIs, including a key double, and the team was relentless on the bases with 12 stolen bases, including two steals of home. Storm Surge Blue kept the excitement going with an incredible comeback win over Santa Fe. Trailing 2–0 in the final inning, the Blue team exploded for 10 runs to take the lead and secure the victory, highlighted by clutch doubles from Brayden, Cade, and Jonathan. Both teams are back in action Monday, and Storm Surge White will make their season debut. Let’s go, Storm Surge!  Literary Magazine Interested in being featured in the first edition of PK’s secondary Literary Magazine? Look for the blue flyers around campus and scan the QR code to submit a piece of original writing or visual artwork. Accepting submissions through spring break. We look forward to seeing the talent and individuality that the PK community has to share!  Spring Market Heads up PK! The Spring market is quickly approaching! At Spring Market, we’ll have some volunteer organizations to promote volunteer participation for rising high-schoolers! Remember to tell your club sponsors to sign up soon by February 28, as the Spring Market will take place on March 4 from 7:40-8:25 AM.
