We will be meeting this Thursday, September 11 at 3:15 in the cafeteria.  HoCo Spirit Week ​​Attention PK! Homecoming Spirit Week is almost here, so listen up for the themes! Monday is Western Day, Tuesday is Pajama Day, Wednesday is E-Learning for 8-12 and dress like your favorite celebrity day for K-7, Thursday is Throwback Day, and Friday is Spirit Day. HoCo Court If you didn't have a chance to nominate yourself or another classmate at lunch last week, here's your last chance! Look in your canvas email for the nomination form. Nominees will be placed on the ballot and the winners will be in the homecoming court. Winners will be announced on Friday, Sept. 12th at the end of the school day and will ride in the homecoming parade and be recognized at the homecoming game on Friday, Sept.19th. *NOTE: Nominees will be required to sign a contract stating that they do not have an attendance, behavior, or academic notice, and have the required number of community service hours by grade - 9th - 0 hours, 10th- 10 hours, 11th - 25 hours, 12th - 50 hours. Students are not allowed to campaign for court until their contracts have been returned to Mrs. Koppitch. College & Career Fair  Don’t miss the Santa Fe College College & Career Fair at the Blount Center in Gainesville on Wednesday, September 17th, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Explore college and career options and talk with representatives from schools like Full Sail University, Florida Memorial University, Flagler College, University of Florida, Valdosta State, and many more. For a complete list of participating schools, check the QR code on bulletin boards or in the main office. A College & Career Fair Checklist will also be available in the main office or on the College & Career Hub to help you plan your visit. NJHS There will be an introductory meeting of the National Junior Honor Society, NJHS, for 8th graders this Thursday at 7:45am in the 2nd Floor Green Open Space.  7th graders will meet the following Thursday, September 18th. If you have already completed an application, please check your Gmail account for an email from Mrs. Merritt.  Late applicants will be accepted, so if you are interested but have not yet applied, please come to the meeting to find out more about NJHS. Florida Hispanic Heritage  Students interested in the Florida Hispanic Heritage students contest please visit: floridahispanicheritage.com/student-contests/ K-3 grade students that win the contest will receive a $100 gift card for school supplies.  4-12 grade students can win a 2-year paid tuition scholarship to study in Florida and a $100 gift card to pay for school supply.  Best Buddies Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors: Best Buddies PK is holding an interest meeting on Tuesday, September 9th during 10th-12th lunch at Orange Wing 2nd floor open space. Algebra Review Session High School students, Mrs. Roach will be holding the final Algebra review session today afterschool! The retake exam will be tomorrow so plan to attend this final review session today afterschool from 3:00pm-4:00pm in her classroom, Second Floor Orange Wing. Thespians Thespian Meeting in Mrs. Hemmerich's room on Tuesday, September 9th from 3:15-3:45. We will discuss ways to get involved with District Thespys, one act and changes. See you there! FCA Hey PK! The first Fellowship of Christian Athletes meeting for this year will be held on Wednesday, September 10th, from 7:20 to 8:20 in the morning, before school in the cafeteria. Bring your friends and we hope to see you there! Basketball Cheer Attention all cheerleaders interested in the Basketball Cheer Team.
