Hey Blue Wave! Today is Monday, August 17.  ECO & Key Club Calling all ECO and Key Club members!  Our clubs are merging into a new- yet to be named- club of all things community service, and we want YOU to join!  Come join Mr. Lemstrom and Mrs. Fab at 10-12 lunch on Tuesday 8/18 in Mrs. Fab’s classroom.   Jazz Band Jazz Band will be hosting an informational meeting right after school today, (Monday, the 17th) to discuss the coming year and distribute permission slips. Please meet Mr. E and the returning jazz band students in the modern music room, 112 of the PAC, if you are interested in joining Jazz Band this year! Hispanic Honor Society All Hispanic Honor Society members and all the students that are interested in belonging to the Hispanic Honor Society please come to the meeting on Wednesday, August 19,  from 7:45-8:20 in blue 113.  DECA All students’ current members of DECA and High School students’ members of DECA please come our meeting on Wednesday, August 19 after school from 3:05 until 3:35 in Blue 113. The DECA club helps prepares high school students for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management. UNICEF All members of the UNICEF club and students interested in participating in UNICEF our first meeting will be on Friday, August 21 before school from 7:45 to 8:20, Blue 113 JAM Club Are you interested in a career in law and justice?  Maybe you want to be a teacher?  Go into medicine?  Or social work?  Stop by Mrs. Fab’s room before or after school this week to pick up an interest form about JAM club.  JAM stands for Justice and Autism in Motion.  We will learn about neurodiversity with an expert from UF joining us weekly.  Our club took last year off, but we’re bringing it back with plans for even more field trips, action projects, conference presentation opportunities, and seniors… if you’re still looking for ideas, this could be a great start to a senior project!   Club Showcase Club Showcase is on its way! Come see all the clubs that PK offers on August 27th from 7:45 to 8:30 in the courtyard. Show up with PK pride and energy! Creative Writing Club Today’s the day, so sharpen your pen, Creative Writing Club is starting again! Poems and stories, ideas big and small, There’s room in our club for writers of all! Come after school and see what we do, First Floor Green Wing. We’re waiting for you! Peer Tutoring Attention all 10th-12th graders: Do you want to earn volunteer hours while helping a fellow student find success? Come to our Peer Tutoring meeting to find out how you can make a positive difference. The meeting will take place during 10th-12th grade lunch on Wednesday, August 19th, in Ms. Roach’s room, 2nd Floor Orange, room 253. Thespians Thespian Meeting will have a meeting to elect officers on Monday, August 17th at 3:15 in Mrs. Hemmerich’s Room. Auditions Auditions for the fall plays Clue: High School Edition and Almost Main will be on Tuesday, August 18th at 3:15 in the PAC Tri-M There will be a Tri- M interest meeting on Monday after school in the Modern Music room.  Tri-M is a national music honor society.  Come join us to learn more! National English Honor Society Attention Literature lovers: The National English Honor Society will be holding an interest meeting on Wednesday 8/19 during 10-12 lunch in Ms. Weber’s room, Blue 312. This meeting is for both new and returning members. Participants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0, as well as a minimum GPA of 3.0 in their English courses.   Stay Wavy, Blue Wave!
