Start times are as follows:  Please have your classes seated and ready for the show to begin at those times.  The show is approximately 45 minutes long.  10-12 grade will be dismissed from the auditorium at the end of the day. BSU Show performers only, please report to the PAC at the beginning of 2nd period.   Congrats Hispanic Honor Society Congratulations to all the Hispanic Honor Society members who competed in the poetry competition! In 1st place: Layla Vazquez, 2nd place Maria Campbell and in 3rd place Sydney Boye.  Congrats UNICEF Congratulations to the students who competed in the UNICEF Global Challenge! In 1st place Hyle Ismael, 2nd place Aurora Martin and 3rd place Esdras Cruz.  Golden Ducks Four out of the five golden ducks have been found! Will you be the lucky number 5? If you find it, bring it to Mrs. Koppitch to win a free duck and candy on your birthday, or to give to a friend! Dudley Farm Service Opportunity “The Friends of Dudley Farm” are looking for student actors to help with a reenactment fundraiser on March 22-23, during spring break. Those students who participate will  earn volunteer hours by serving as ‘extras’ or as actors. If you are interested in this opportunity, email Dr. Geiger for contact information.  February Resiliency Skills The resilience skills of the month of February are Responsibility & Responsible Decision-Making. Responsibility is all about owning your actions, using good judgment, and practicing self-control. Responsible decision-making is thinking about all options and possible outcomes to make the best choice. Barack Obama is quoted as saying, “The choices we make about the lives we live determine the kinds of legacies we leave”. Spring Sports Spring sports have started! Check out the athletic schedule on the PKY Athletics website, PKY Athletics Instagram and the calendar in the commons.  Baseball Community Service If you are a high school student who needs community service hours and would like a super easy way to earn them, talk to Coach Brunson or Dr. Geiger about working the gate at home baseball games.   Seniors! Seniors – if you’re not checking your canvas announcements, or reading the senior newsletter you could be missing out on money in your pockets! Several scholarship opportunities have been posted, as well as information about Grad Bash, school day SAT and ACT tests, and more. Please keep up to date so you don’t miss out. Spain 2026 Students currently in 9th and 10th grade interested in studying in Spain in the summer of 2026 please see Mrs. Santiago during lunch or after school.
