School Day ACT Reminders
All students in 10th and 11th grade, and those students in 12th grade who signed up to take the ACT, be sure to bring your Chromebook and your charger on both Monday and Tuesday mornings.
Monday morning, we will complete the pre-identification session for ACT. If you are a 10th or 11th grade dual enrolled student or an FLVS student who does not come in during 1st period, please plan to come to school at 9:30 on Monday morning to be ready to complete this pre-identification session that is required to test on Tuesday.
On Tuesday morning, all students who are testing need to arrive on campus no later than 8:45 AM. Testing will start at 9:00 AM. Students who are late to their testing location will not be allowed to test.
Bring a water bottle and a snack for the ACT test on Tuesday. Also, bring a calculator if you prefer to use your own.
Congrats Softball
After an outstanding win against Bronson on Monday, PK Yonge Softball blew past the North Marion Colts 24-5 Tuesday night. Jessica Bain was a standout: she went a perfect 5-for-5 with three stolen bases, four runs, and four RBI. Mickinzi Anderson and Lila Sutton also deserves some recognition as they hit their first triples of the season.
P.K. Yonge looked for revenge facing Peniel Baptist Academy and put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 18-12 victory last night. Three wins this week makes their season record an even 10-10.
Emma Mansfield was incredible against the Warriors, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. Lila Sutton also hit a double. Mickinzi Anderson, Alison Sanetz and Emma Mansfield each collected three hits. Blue Wave look to face district rivals Newberry, on the road Monday at 6pm.

- Emily Ferguson answered “Matilda” to Wednesday’s question – Which book features a young girl who has telekinetic powers and a scary principal?
- And yesterday’s trivia question – In “Wonder” by R. J. Palacio, what is the name of the boy with a facial difference who starts attending school for the first time? was answered correctly by Maddie Lincoln. She said the name was August “Auggie” Pullman.
