2025 Cheer Buddies

The Cheer Buddies is a program open to all our P.K. elementary students and developed to connect our high school cheerleaders with our elementary students. All cheer buddies will come to a 1-hour practice the week of all varsity home football games, cheer with the team at the game on the field and perform in front of our home crowd. Our goal is to teach the future of Blue Wave how to show spirit, get the crowd involved at Blue Wave events, and the skills needed at the next level. How to Register:

• Payment Plan and Donations 
  • If you need access to a payment plan for the registration fee or are able to help cover costs for another buddy, please contact Coach Valerie. 
• Registration will close on July 1 for returning P.K. Yonge families and those admitted before June 15. 

Uniforms The first email about sizing and uniform orders will go out on Tuesday, May 27th. All orders will be placed through the Champion locker room and will be sent to the Cheer Buddies' home address. Orders will close June 10,  June 24, and July 15 so that all Buddies receive their uniforms before the school year. Costs

• $165.00 Registration Fee plus Cheer Buddies bag
• $165.00 Uniform Fee- New uniforms will be required this year for all Cheer Buddies
• You may purchase items in pieces or all as a package. All Cheer Buddies will need all items to participate.

• Friday, September 19th- Game at 7:00 pm 
• Thursday, October 2nd- Practice 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
• Friday, October 3rd- Game at 7:00 pm
• Thursday, October 9th- Practice 4:00 pm- 5:00 pm
• Friday, October 10- Game at 7:00 pm
• Thursday, October 16th- Practice 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
• Friday, October 17th- Game at 7:00 pm (Senior Night)
• PKY Homecoming Parade
• High Tide (Tentative)
• 1 Team Picnic

Practices Practices will take place on the P.K. campus. It is recommended that Cheer Buddies attend as many practices and games as possible to get their full experience as buddies. 

• Parents are allowed to attend all Cheer Buddies practices and games.
