Blue Wave Expectations
Academic Eligibility
6th-8th grade students must have a 2.0 or higher grade point average. Eligibility is calculated based on the previous semester’s grades.
9th-12th grade students must maintain a 2.0 or higher grade point average on a 4.0 unweighted scale.
Students entering the 9th grade, who drop below a 2.0 during their first semester of their 9th grade year will be deemed academically ineligible for the 2nd semester. In addition, the student will need to earn a 2.0 in the 2nd semester courses, participate in summer school and sign an academic contract to be eligible for the first semester of their 10th grade year (if they still have not brought their cumulative GPA to a 2.0). Once the student has completed their 10th grade year their cumulative GPA must be at a 2.0 or higher to be eligible for competition.
