The BluePrint is a student-run design and print shop that offers full-service creative solutions to the P.K. Yonge community. Operated by students in the Business and Entrepreneurship class who have developed their skills in design and art, this program provides hands-on, real-world experience in managing a professional design business. As part of their Career and Technical Education (CTE), students work directly with clients—including club sponsors, teams, teachers, the PTO, and alumni groups—handling every aspect of the process, from client consultations and design development to printing, delivery, and invoicing. The BluePrint not only delivers high-quality products and exceptional customer service but also prepares students with valuable skills for future careers in business, design, and entrepreneurship. Our state-of-the-art shop includes the same equipment you'd find in a professional print shop including a Riley Hopkins Screen Printing Press, Riley Cure Conveyor Dryer, Riley Flash unit, X Vactor LED exposure Unit, new Mac iPads, Laptops, and Desktops, Vinyl Cutting machines, and our newest addition, a Roland True VLS SG3-540 large format printer. Students utilize the Adobe Creative Suite and have the opportunity to earn industry certifications in software such as WordPress, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Entrepreneurship and Small Business (ESB), and Project Management (PMI).
