About Dr. Mickey MacDonald

University School Professor

and Accountability, Director of Research, Testing
Mickey has been teaching high school science since 1999, and at P.K. Yonge since 2003. She enjoys gardening, hiking, and reading. She is always excited as the new year begins. Mickey believes that every student can succeed in every subject. By categorizing some students as humanities/creative learners and other students as math/science learners closes off opportunities to students that should never be limited. Mickey also serves as the the Inquiry Teacher Leader, an appointed faculty member who partners with administration to ensure the ongoing development and health of Teacher Inquiry at P.K. Yonge. Teacher Inquiry is one of the primary professional learning structures which satisfies the research requirement for all faculty, serves as an in-depth individualized faculty professional learning plan, and plays a significant role in school improvement.
