Performing Arts Audition Information
Current PK 5th-11th Grade Student Vocal Auditions - Saturday April 6th, 2013
All students not currently enrolled in a Performing arts class for 2012-2013 can audition for the 2013-2014 school year.
Auditions will happen on Saturday April 6, 2013 -- Please sign-up for audition slot during the week of April 1st.
Sign-ups will be on Mrs. Harris' door in the PAC Room A-104.
Non-P.K. Student Auditions- Saturday January 26, 2013
PK Yonge's 6-12 grade curriculum offerings include audition-based performing arts classes. Those interested in applying to PK Yonge and registering for the audition-based performing arts classes are invited to participate in our open audition opprotunity. A limited number of 6th grade students wil be invited to attend PK Yonge based on a successful audition and the demographic balance of the entering 6th grade.

- Students' audition should be no longer than three (3) minutes.
- Students may bring a short resume including a headshot (photo)
- Resumes should include any private studio instruction, any performance experience, length of time of study.
- It is appropriate to include classroom/ school experience.
- A sample resume template is attached. You may choose to use this, or develop your own.

- Vocal auditions can either sing a cappella (unaccompanied) or they may bring a recorded accompaniment track. Accompaniment tracks should NOT include recorded vocals. Ipods, iphones and CDs are appropriate for accompaniment. You can also bring a piano accompanist. A piano will be available, but you must provide the pianist.
- Students can also prepare a monologue and/or dance piece in addition to the vocal/ instrumental solo.

- Auditions include: Instrumental, Drama, Dance and Vocal Music
- Preregister for auditions by clicking on this link. You must preregister in order to be able to acquire an audition time slot. Please fill out the link with all your information.
- Doors will open at 8:30 a.m. Saturday . You will sign up for an audition slot at that time. No audition slots will be given out prior to 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 26th. Audition signups are “first come, first serve” Please be advised to make a line outside the building upon arrival.
- At 9AM there will be a brief group presentation. All students are expected to be in attendance with their parent/guardian at this time.
