Library Updates | Last day for check-out March 23

March 20, 2018

As noted in our earlier communication about construction of our new secondary building, the Mead Library collections will be stored during construction. This means that library checkout will be unavailable. For updates about the Library, visit the Library page.

The last day to check items out from the library is Friday, March 23rd (this week).
Items that have been checked out must be returned by Friday, April 13, 2018.

Library Activities Continue
The library will still be open for classes, research (excluding testing days), and after school until the end of the 2017-18 school year, but will be closed during construction of the new secondary building.

Faculty Library Needs
Materials requested by faculty prior to storing the collection will be accessible and checked out to faculty as needed.

Student Library Needs
There will be card sign-up opportunities for Alachua County Public Library cards, and our librarian is currently working on a schedule to have the bookmobile come to P.K. once a month during the 2018-19 school year for students to check out materials.  In addition, all 6th-12th grade students have access to the Overdrive app on their Chromebooks, which allows them to download available eBooks from the public library with a current library card.

Elementary Libraries
For elementary students, each learning community has a library which students will be able to use for the duration of the project.

Thank you for your patience as our new secondary building finally becomes a reality!
