Today is Wednesday, February 6th and it is a B Day.  

Congratulations to the Girls Soccer Team for their win last night at the regional quarterfinals against Mount Dora. They advance to the regional semifinals on Friday night.  They will play Santa Fe (again!) on the Raiders’ home turf at 7 PM. Go Blue Wave!

Congratulations also the Varsity Boys Basketball Team for their last minute (really… they won in the LAST MINUTE) win over GHS last night.  Way to go, Blue Wave!

This week is School Counselor Appreciation Week.  Please let your counselor know how appreciative you are for their kindness and support.

Middle School National Junior Honor Society Members – we will have a meeting TOMORROW in Mrs. Beckett’s room during lunch.  Please come ready to talk about how you are working on our different service projects.

If you are interested in exploring the many fields of engineering, meet in Z-1428, Mrs. Tijerino’s portable down by the gym, Tuesday, February 12th, 2019 after school. Meeting is open to middle and high school students.  For more information, see Mrs. Tijerino.

Attention students: On Monday, February 11th the College Information and Readiness Club will be selling Valentine’s Day cards in the cafeteria. On Tuesday and Wednesday, the same club will be selling baked goods. All sales will go towards funding for the club.

Attention middle school students:
Remember to give your completed kindness challenge form to Mrs. Ireland today (Wednesday), if you have completed at least 20 of the challenges.

Congratulations to Kris Martin who will sign a football scholarship with Benedictine College in Kansas today at 2pm in Coach McDonalds portable.  Come out and wish Kris good luck!

Project Lit members – we will meet this Friday during lunch.  Please check your canvas course to submit trivia questions. Can’t wait to see you!

Attention male athletes who are not currently playing a school sport. Football workouts for upcoming 9-12th graders begin on Monday, February 11th. You are to report to Coach McDonald’s portable at 2:30pm on Monday. You are required to see Coach Mac if you are not able to make it.

The football team would like to invite everyone to a Valentine’s Day Eve gathering at Tijuana Flats on Archer Road. Come show your support for the team by having a burrito. 20% of the sales goes back to PK Football. The first 100 guests get a Valentine’s Day hug from Coach Mac!

Just a reminder that vaping and juuling are strictly prohibited on campus and at all school-sponsored events. Engaging in these activities, or being in possession of the paraphernalia, could result in serious punishment, up to expulsion from P. K. Yonge.
