Academics

The March Scholarship Letter is now available! You can find it on: the high school counseling page of the school website, the Student Government Twitter, or the School Counseling Twitter.

If you are interested in taking the ASVAB, it will be offered at P.K. Yonge on March 29th at 2:45 PM in the Community Classroom.  Please let Ms. Bryen know if you plan on attending.

Athletics

Congratulations to the Varsity boys’ tennis team for their win against Buchholz High School yesterday!

Congratulations to the Blue Wave track and field team for their
outstanding performance at the Alachua County Track and Field
Championship.  Kailya Jackson led the girls team with her 1st
place finish in the 100 meter hurdles and 2nd place finish in the 300 meter
hurdles.  Other outstanding performers in their events were: Zuriel Reed,
JaNelle Morant, Nymera Presley, Darielis Merced-Calderon, Juliette
Palechor, Jocelyn Riley, Haley Romrell, Kenechi Anumba, and McKenna
Humphries.
Eric Smith and Coleman Tadrowski led the boys team with help from
teammates Greg Maxwell, Alex Barnett, Adrian Sermons and Kenyarda Feathers.
Ian Flores, Josh Thompson, and Kiran Jaishankar added points in the 4×800
meter relay.
The Blue Wave will travel to Orlando on Saturday to compete in the Royal
Open Invitation.  Go Blue Wave!

Cheerleaders will be selling $1.00 sno-cones on Tuesdays and Thursday’s right after school at the cafeteria all spring. Please come out and support the cheerleading program!

Good Luck to our Varsity Baseball Team vs. Palatka at 5:00 pm.

Clubs

There is a SADD meeting today during HS lunch in Coach Hazan’s room (Z1429)

MS Vocal concert is tonight from 7-8pm.

Health Smart Campaign

Put snacks in small plastic containers or bags so they are easy to carry in a pocket or backpack. Putting snacks in containers helps you eat the right size portion. Plan ahead and bring your own snacks to school.

PK Great Give

We’ve raised over $4500 so far for the PKY Great Give! Thank you to everyone who has helped spread the word!

Each project has received the following amount in funding!

$340 for Athletic Uniforms
$620 for Environmental Science
$150 for Global Endowment
$285 for Marching Band
$200 for National Competition Travel
$500 for Performing Arts
$500 for Professional Learning
$550 for Robotics
$185 for World Languages
