Supervision

The P.K. Yonge campus is open from 7:30am – 4:00pm, Monday – Friday.

Student supervision is provided:
7:30am to 2:45pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays
7:30am to 2:10pm on Wednesdays for 6th-12th grade students
7:30am to 1:05pm on Wednesdays for K-5th grade students.

Elementary students must be picked up or sent to Blue Wave After School fifteen (15) minutes after school is out.

Supervision for Middle and High School students (who are not in a teacher-directed activity or extracurricular program) is provided 30 minutes before school begins and 30 minutes after final dismissal. After this time, Middle School students must be in Blue Wave Afterschool, Middle School Study Hall (provided by Blue Wave Afterschool) or be picked up by parents/guardians.

All faculty members share the responsibility for supervision of the entire campus.

Students in unsupervised areas should be questioned to ascertain their reason for being where they are and directed to move to a supervised area.

If inappropriate behavior is observed or students are found in unsupervised areas, the School Resource Officer or an administrator can be contacted for support.

When supervising a special event, faculty members must stay with their group at all times and must remain until the last student is picked up from the school or from the location of the event.

In extreme situations, the University Police (392-1111) may be called to attempt to locate a parent if it is after school hours and well past the time the student should have been picked up.
