This year we will be offering a Science Olympiad club for 6th through 9th grade students.
The club will meet 11:45am-12:15pm (high school) and 12:15pm-12:45pm on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s during lunch in room N-385 with Mrs. Sheppard. Science Olympiad is a team competition in which students compete in events pertaining to various scientific disciplines, including earth science, biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering. Each school-based team is allowed to bring 15 students (10 middle school students and 5 high school students) who cross-train for a variety of events in their skill set.
Some of the experiments may require students to provide basic materials. Students will be accepted on a first-come basis, and then a waiting list will be kept in the order of applications received.
If there are students on the waiting list, they will have the first slots in the next session. I hope this allows more students to participate throughout the year.
